Chocolate Almond Bars

Ingredients:
Base:
1 cup almond meal
1/2 cup roasted almonds
1/2 cup pitted dates
2 tbsp almond butter
1/4 cup cacao powder
Topping:
1/2 cup hulled tahini
1/2 cup maple syrup
2 tbsp cacao powder
1/2 cup flaked almonds
Method:
Soak pitted dates in hot water for 1/2 an hour
Add all ingredients for the base into a food processor and blend until well combined in a thick dough
Line a small baking tin with baking paper and press the mixture down hard and evenly into the tin
Chill in the fridge
Combine all the ingredients for the topping in a bowl and spread on top of the base
Freeze for 1/2 an hour
Cut the slice into bars and keep refrigerated
